I went to school with Ray and when I was in Jr High we kept hearing people talk about this guy Ray who road for Powell but I had never seen him ride. I got to Hight School and had a few chances to skate with Ray. Nicest guy on a board.

When this video came out kickflips were something that people had to struggle with and it was a trick that only a few people had mastered so when people saw Ray kickflip to pivot on the bench here without any effort it really made skaters realize what they actually could do on their boards.
