I went to school with Ray and when I was in Jr High we kept hearing people talk about this guy Ray who road for Powell but I had never seen him ride. I got to Hight School and had a few chances to skate with Ray. Nicest guy on a board.

When this video came out kickflips were something that people had to struggle with and it was a trick that only a few people had mastered so when people saw Ray kickflip to pivot on the bench here without any effort it really made skaters realize what they actually could do on their boards.

Doug Smith was riding for Powell Peralta during the Public Domain video days. He didn’t get much notoriety back then and soon moved on to G & S to round out his skate career. This here is a classic segment from the Public Domain video that has one of the all time classic songs that nobody knows who sang.

So our friend Dave over at Infinity Surf Shop in Dana Point hit up Dean Bradley to paint a board that was going to be displayed at the Class/ASR show and then auctioned off at the end of the show. Dean has been doing his Mainframe character for about 10 years now and along with the art he has put out he has also landed on the covers of Monster Children magazine and a few others. Here is Dean painting the board for the Class/ASR show, you can see yours truly wondering around towards the end of the video taking some pictures.

I just crack up every time these commercials come on the tube. Together these videos just the two above have recieved over 5 million hits just on youtube alone, now thats pretty crazy and its only been up for a month. Old spice hit this one out of the park.

Check out this little diddy brought to you by The Dirty Heads. We just started hooking these guys up with gear probably about a month ago just because their music was great. A week later they were everywhere, doing the Kevin and Bean show and getting the most requested song on KROQ which was a pretty cool little treat for them.
